So what is AACA?
The Australasian Association of Campus Activities (AACA) is an organisation of event professionals who run social, cultural and recreational events on Australian University and TAFE campuses. AACA administers and runs four main national competitions or initiatives, as well as a yearly national conference and facilitates networking among such events staff nationally.
AACA has grown out of a network of Campus Activities people that has been meeting on a regular basis since the 1970s.
AACA itself has existed for over 20 years, having built impressive track record of running major national youth initiatives that attract significant sponsorship.
We currently run
§ National Campus Band Competition
§ National Campus Art Prize
§ National Campus Film Festival
§ National Campus DJ Comp
§ A professional development and networking conference
AACA provides full information, promotional materials and support about how to run these events on your campus. We coordinate national sponsorship including great prizes. They are easy and value for money events to run, and provide great experiences for students.
To participate in our competitions, students must be enrolled in an AACA member campus. In the case of National Campus Band Competition, only one member of the band must be a student in order for the band to be eligible.
Members of AACA are all across Australia. Member campuses can be seen on our campuses page.
