Future DJ 2008 TERMS AND CONDITIONS


a. Entrants must be full or part time post secondary student
b. Entrants must be enrolled at a campus which is a current financial member of AACA (The Australasian Association of Campus Activities.)
c. DJs who have achieved a final state in a recognised DJ competition such as ITF or DMC are not eligible to enter
d. DJ may enter the competition at one campus only. If the DJ is found to have entered the competition at more than one campus (even under different names,) he or she will be disqualified.
e.DJ's must register all entry and contact details including bio and media quality photo through the AACA website (www.aaca.net.au) to be entered into Future DJ (FDJ). It is up to the DJ's to make sure they are informed and aware of the local heats timing and terms and conditions. Check this with your local FDJ coordinator (Campus Activities Officer or CAO). Please note there may be local fees to enter this competition – please check with your local NCBC Coordinator.
f. DJ acts are defined as acts comprised of DJs only, and may not incorporate live equipment, sampling, pre-records, hybrid software etc. DJs must mix live, and may not use automated mixing technology.
g. The heat in which the DJ must perform will be decided by random selection. Only in extraordinary circumstances will entrants be allowed to perform in a heat other than originally allocated. The Activities officers’ decision is final.
h. Whilst all care shall be taken in running of this competition, no liability whatsoever shall be accepted for any damage or loss rising as a consequence of the competition.
i. The DJ acknowledges that they enter the competition in good faith and that the organisers cannot be held responsible for any technical problems that may occur. Organisers will endeavour to ensure the highest standards are adhered to at all times.
j. Administrative arrangements outlined here may be subject to change deemed necessary for the smoother running of the competition. No claims shall be recognised in respect of changes to these arrangements.
k. Prizes have been confirmed in good faith and organisers cannot be held responsible for changes or withdrawals of prizes due to circumstances beyond their control.
l. The Australasian Association of Campus Activities encourages responsible consumption of alcohol and requires all competitors to be drug fee whilst competing at a Future DJ event.
m. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
n. Suggested playing time is 15 minutes per DJ. This is at the discretion of the local Future DJ coordinator. State and National Final FDJ sets will be 15 minutes.
o. The following judging criteria will be used;

_e. Performance Skills / Technical Ability
