The NCFF is an annual event produced by the Australian Association of Campus Activities Inc. (AACA), in conjunction with local student activities, events, marketing or student services staff.
Categories for 2013 are:
- Short film ( max 8 mins including credits)
- Music Clip ( max 4mins including credits)
- Experimental ( max 4 mins including credits)
- People's Choice Award
In the column to the right, you can download basic information about film writing, shooting and editing and see examples of past NCFF winners.
2013 NCFF Prizes
Winner of the Short Film Category (max 8 mins) receives $1000 cash prize
Winner of the Experimental Category (max 4mins) receives $750 cash prize
Winner of the Music Clip Category (max 4 mins) receives $750 cash prize
Winner of the People’s Choice Award receives $500 cash prize
2013 NCFF National Final Screening
The 2013 NCFF National Final screening and announcement of winners and presentations will be held at the Star Court Theatre, Lismore NSW.

Helpful Film Tips
How to Enter
Step 1
Fill in the online registration form and make sure you read the Terms and Conditions. Once you've entered, AACA will email you to confirm that your registration has been received.
Step 2
Make your film, music clip or experimental film!
We recommend that you make your film in accordance with we recommend that your film is made in accordance with G guidelines, however if this is not possible, we require you make it no higher than MA 15+ guidelines. Guidelines are available at The Classification Website www.classification.gov.au. To screen your film. we require an exemption from classification. This is only possible if your film is deemed to not exceed the MA 15+ guidelines. If films are to be screened in a public place (which is likely if your film is any good), a rating no higher than a G rating will be accepted. Please take this into consideration when making your film.
Step 3
Post a hard copy (DVD) of your film, music clip or experimental film (in .MOV or .AVI format please) to the NCFF National Coordinator before 30 August 2013.
Make sure your film is clearly labelled with your name and the name of your film. Please post your clearly labeled DVD to:

Step 4 (optional)
Upload your film to VIMEO with '2013 NCFF' in the title and send the link to the National Coordinator. Please make sure you also tag your film 'NCFF 2013' so we can find it and people can search for your film to view.
When you upload your film to VIMEO, you will be eligible for the People's Choice Award. This prize is awarded to the film with the most votes by students, handed in to each activity office at their university by Friday 6th of September 2013.

The National Campus Film Fest is a celebration of original student filmmaking. We encourage entries from amateurs and expert filmmakers alike. In 201-3, there are three categories to enter in the NCFF and four prizes to be awarded. The categories are: Short Film (max 8mins), Experimental (max 4mins) and Music Clip (max 4 minss) and the People's Choice Award voted by you.
